The simple answer is that we are a group of people dedicated to supporting the Bedford Public Library and doing all we can to bring the library and our community together.
In order to do so, the Bedford Library Friends organization was founded. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The funds we raise are used to support library programs such as the summer reading program, Suessfest, annual short story competitions for adults and children, just to name a few. Since 2005 , the Bedford Library Friends have donated more than $80,000 to the library.
“The Bedford Library Friends are a group of concerned citizens who share a common desire to perpetuate the growth and to promote the interest and the welfare of the Bedford Public Library as a cultural and educational asset to the City of Bedford.”
